Pick the perfect skip

How big?

Picking the right size skip can feel daunting. But don’t worry, our Skip Selector will help you find the perfect skip for your needs in just a few clicks.

Where will it go?

If you need to keep a skip on public land, we’ll help you get a highway permit. Just add it to your booking, and we’ll call for some additional details. Find out if you need one.

What’s going in?

We can dispose of most things. But some things do have additional disposal fees. If you’re disposing of heavy items, like soil or rubble, some skips might be too big.

Skip charges explained

We’ve got the basics covered.

Once you’ve entered your postcode, you’ll be given a price that includes:

  • Skip hire for up to 14 days
  • Delivery to your chosen location
  • Disposal of all standard waste
  • Collection and disposal, when you’re ready

Some items have additional fees.

Items like fridges, tyres and other items can be disposed of but do have an additional fee to ensure their safe disposal. If you have one of these items:

  • Add them to your order
  • You’ll be given the price per item
  • When your skip is collected, put these items on top of your skip.

Please note that you are responsible for the contents of your skip upon collection. A cover can help protect your skip from any unexpected deposits.

Some items are charged by weight

Some items like plasterboard and astroturf are charged based on the volume you dispose of. You can find a list here. We’ll weigh these items at our depot once we’ve collected your skip.

  • Select the items when you check-out
  • We’ll call once you’ve booked to give a guide price
  • We’ll weigh the item at the depot, and let you know the final cost

You need a permit to keep a skip on public land.

If you want to keep a skip on public land such as a road, parking space or footpath, you will need a permit. We will advise you on this, once you’ve booked your skip. You might need:

  • A highway permit to keep the skip on public land
  • Parking suspension, if the skip is going in a parking bay
  • Some councils also require cones, lights and covers.

Charges vary significantly by council, and by your needs. To get an idea of cost, have a look on your local council’s website. Don’t worry though, if you indicate you’ll need a permit, we’ll help you through every step of the journey.

Commercial & Trade Waste Services

We offer a wide range of waste removal services for our commercial and trade customers.

Got questions?
No worries!

We get it. Hiring a skip can be daunting, confusing and sometimes downright difficult. Don’t worry! We have the answers you’re looking for.

We operate in London and the South East, with sites in Orpington, Bromley and Brixton. And whilst we always try to be competitive and offer a good price, there's more to think about than just the cost of a skip or looking for the cheapest skip hire prices. Exceptional customer service, friendly delivery, collection, responsible disposal and recycling of your waste are all factored into our price. We do offer cheap skip hire, but more importantly, we offer exceptional quality from start to finish. You should also ask how a company can offer such low prices. It is important that waste companies have a waste carriers permit and it's important you use a registered waste company. Before you book that budget skip, you need to check the company - are they reliable? Some companies operate without a license, and dispose of waste unethically, for example fly tipping. If your waste is fly tipped, you could be liable for both costs and potentially any legal investigations. You can find our Waste Carriers License here. Check out our skip hire prices and size guide to find the right skip for you.

Selecting the right skip size can feel daunting. But don't worry, it is actually quite simple. All skips are sized in cubic yards. 1 cubic yard is roughly the size of a washing machine or similar household appliance. So if all your waste (when broken down) would be around the size of 8 washing machines, you'll need an 8 yard skip.

There might be other things to consider too, such as where you will keep the skip and what waste you'll be putting in the skip.

Our Skip Selector can help you find the right skip based on your waste type and volume.

Each skip hire includes one collection and disposal. If you fill the skip up faster than expected or simply underestimated the volume of waste you had, you can arrange an exchange. This means when we come to pick up your skip, we'll leave you an empty one, so there's minimal disruption to your project. To arrange an exchange, click 'Return Skip', then select 'Exchange'. It is important you book and pay for your new skip at the same time.
